My view as a Soldier on Iraq

First off, I would like to say that I respect the President of the United States, the officers and Non-Commissioned Officers appointed over me, and most of all I respect my country. When ordered, I will deploy and kill enemies of the United States in close combat.

Now, I will tell you my view on the proposed Iraq pullout timeline...

I love how people who have never been to Iraq, never had a son or daughter go to Iraq, never lost a loved one in Iraq, are so against pulling our soldiers out of Iraq. I also love how the media is so far up our soldiers butts that the enemy in Iraq pretty much has to shoot and kill an American soldier before we can take the appropriate action, because the average Soldier is more afraid of what will happen if he pulls that trigger, than what will happen if that insurgent pulls his own. I love how there are civilians, employed by the government, earning around $120,000 tax free in a year for sitting inside a secure base, when us soldiers earn our base pay (if you wonder what base pay is for the army, google it... its not anywhere near as much as a senator makes) tax free, plus $250 per month for being in a combat zone.

I would like to say that I joined the Army after 9/11 to bring the fight to the enemy, and I did in 2003... and 2006, and quite possibly 2008. I have wanted to be in the Army since I was a little boy, and Im damn proud to be in it right now. But terrorism is a weird war, we are fighting an enemy who rarely can be seen, using wepons that very rarely can be spotted (EFP's, IED's, Car Bombs).

Think about this... fill a room with 100 bee's... remove 99 of the bee's stingers... then go into that room and find that 1 bee before he finds you.

Im not saying lets pull out, im not saying lets stay there, Im no general, Im no senator, and Im not the President. But everone who reads this, think about it.
